Anyone who has cycled in the Vinschgau will understand why some people come back every year.
The valley between Meran and Reschenpass is one of the driest Alpine valleys: little rainfall, plenty of sunshine, a long season.
In the background, the Ortler (3,905 m), South Tyrol’s highest mountain. Surrounding it, the Nationalpark Stilfserjoch. Right in the middle, Prad, the ideal starting point for everything in the PradBike programme.
Grippy trails from April to October. One of the driest Alpine valleys. Rarely muddy, almost always rideable.
Descents of up to 3,000 metres on a single trail. The National Park and the High Alps make it possible.
The full spectrum, from flowing forest tracks to technical S4 sections. No restrictions on target groups.
Zone 01
Sunny, dry and incredibly varied: trails of all difficulty levels, from flowing to technical. A dense network, short distances and ideal conditions for long days on the bike make the region the perfect base almost all year round.
Zone 02
Legendary Schmugglertrails trails wind through vast landscapes around the Swiss National Park and the Val Müstair Biosphere Reserve. Long descents of varying difficulty combine nature, Romansh culture and a special, unspoilt atmosphere.
Zone 03
High-alpine summit tours with spectacular views and descents of up to 3,000 metres. Challenging trails and secluded landscapes create intense cycling experiences for experienced riders seeking alpine challenges.
Zone 04
High alpine valleys, historic military trails and silent reminders of times gone by characterise the region. Ancient paths lead through vast landscapes to lakes with extraordinary colours, such as Lago di Cancano – unspoilt, steeped in history and impressively tranquil.
Every month has its charm, with ideal conditions almost all year round. April and October are quieter and particularly relaxing for cycling.
