Eugen Wallnöfer – PradBike Guide
About Eugen

Born here.
Stayed here.
Riding here.

Eugen Wallnöfer is a true local from Prad and knows Vinschgau from over 20 years as a forester in Stelvio National Park and countless hours spent outdoors in the mountains.

As a certified MTB guide, he knows not only the official trails, but also forgotten paths, old connecting routes, special viewpoints and the places where it is best to stop for a break.

Eugen has been part of PradBike since 2022 and guides guests through a region he knows like the back of his hand. He brings his experience to every tour and helps shape the calm, safe and personal style of riding that defines PradBike.

His training includes riding technique, first aid and bike mechanics. In addition, he holds certificates as a riding technique trainer, children’s and youth guide, and in psychology in guiding.

“I won’t show you trails — I’ll show you Vinschgau.”
The guide team

Four guides.
Many strengths.
One shared style.

Alongside Eugen, Simon, Martin, Kurt and Markus guide the PradBike tours. Each brings their own experience — from technique training and rescue service to alpine tour leadership. What connects them: local knowledge, calmness, safety and a passion for biking.

Simon Alber – PradBike Guide
Bikeguide · Mechanic · Paramedic

Simon Alber

Simon has been working as a bikeguide in Vinschgau and around the Stelvio Pass for more than ten years. He knows the trails between Vinschgau, the Stelvio Pass, Engadin and Livigno in great detail.

As a mechanic, he brings strong technical understanding and always keeps an eye on both people and equipment. His work as a paramedic underlines his strong awareness of safety.

With his calm manner, his experience and his passion for mountain biking, Simon makes every tour a special experience.

Martin Muther – PradBike Guide
Tour leader · MTB group leader · Mountain rescuer

Martin Muther

Martin is passionate about being in the mountains all year round. Whether mountain biking, high alpine tours, climbing, hiking or ski touring — alpine nature has always been his home.

For more than 25 years, he has been active in mountain rescue and has been connected to the Alpine Club South Tyrol since childhood. As a tour leader and MTB group leader, he brings sound knowledge to every tour.

With his calm manner, his enthusiasm for the mountains and his strong awareness of safety, Martin ensures safe and memorable rides.

Kurt Ortler – PradBike Guide
Bikeguide · Ski & tennis instructor · Golf

Kurt Ortler

Kurt is deeply rooted in Prad am Stilfserjoch and has been active in sports and tourism for many years. As a ski and tennis instructor as well as a bikeguide, he brings versatile experience.

His focus is on enjoyable e-bike tours and technically moderate rides through Vinschgau. Thanks to his local knowledge, he knows quiet routes, viewpoints and scenic highlights away from the well-known tracks.

Besides biking, Kurt is an enthusiastic golfer and has been committed to golf in Vinschgau for many years. With his open manner, he creates relaxed and safe bike experiences.

Markus Tröger – PradBike Guide
Riding technique coach · Pilates & pelvic floor trainer

Markus Tröger

Markus is a passionate mountain biker and has been riding trails in Vinschgau, South Tyrol, Switzerland and around Lake Garda since childhood.

His great passion is riding technique. With experience, patience and a trained eye, he helps bikers of all ability levels improve their technique, safety, flow and control.

As a certified riding technique coach as well as a Pilates and pelvic floor trainer, Markus supports guests in a practical and individual way — for better body awareness, more confidence and more fun on the bike.
